PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
Why use Make Play Work: Quality Works?
Do you want to Unlock the Full Potential of Your Out of School Setting?
Make Play Work: Quality Works is an aspirational and reflective self-assessment tool. It will challenge you but that’s what we want in our pursuit of giving children the best day, every day, for every child.
Make Play Work: Quality Works is designed for out of school settings to work through at their own pace, in collaboration with staff, parents/carers, children, stakeholders and all users of the setting. It is an opportunity to see what you are doing well and what needs some development.
The purpose is for you to identify areas of both strength and improvement, decide collaboratively what you will put in place, get it done and then review.
This tool is designed to be a collaborative, discursive process with the whole team involved, because we know this is the best way of improving your practice and overall impact for children who attend.
Pricing & Packages
Quality Works is the most comprehensive quality improvement toolkit available for out of school and wraparound childcare settings in England. Whether you’re a lone operator taking your first look at your practice, or a multi-site organisation seeking consistent quality across your portfolio, there’s a level that’s right for you.
All packages include the Quality Works Toolkit - your organisational licence to the Manual, facilitation guides, quick wins guides and supporting resources. The Scorecard and Quality Report are included for your first setting, with simple bolt-on access available for additional settings.
Not sure where to start? Try our free taster quiz first. It takes around 10 minutes, gives you a snapshot of your setting’s strengths, and lets you see the quality of the framework before you commit to anything. No card details required. Click here for free taster quiz

Running more than one setting?
Quality Works is designed to work across your whole organisation, not just one setting. Your Toolkit licence covers your organisation as a whole - one Manual, one set of guides, one framework. The Scorecard and Quality Report are the per-setting elements, because every setting deserves its own baseline and its own improvement journey.
It’s simple: purchase Quality Works at the level that’s right for you, and bolt on Scorecard access for each additional setting at a flat rate. Contact us at [email protected] to purchase additional settings.
